Dr. John Asmuth
New Jersey native Dr. John Asmuth is an amateur player who picked up the classical guitar at twelve years old, taking private lessons for a time with Alice Artzt and recently with Phil Circle. He enjoys performing not only as a soloist and with Section 3 of NJGO, but also composing and transcribing music.
John holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University, and currently works as a software engineer in Big Tech (TM). He lives in Verona, NJ with his wife, Stephanie, and two boys, Trent and Gavin.
Dr. Martin Brounstein
Dr. Martin Brounstein is the Board President of Montclair Early Music. He is a retired attorney specializing in international regulatory compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturing and clinical research regulations. Martin has been playing guitar since the mid s, and has been continuously teaching jazz, pop and classical guitar for several decades. As a member of the New Jersey, New York and Mid-Hudson Classical Guitar Societies, he has been instrumental in providing free recitals to communities throughout the tri-state area.

Costas Cotsiolis sits down with Sabrina Vlaskalic at the First European Guitar Concerto Competition. <br><br>The interview begins with an overview of Cotsiolis’ early life growing up in Greece and the lack of resources for a developing classical guitarist at the time. Other topics discussed include his close relationship with Leo Brouwer, his experience performing over 40 concertos throughout his career, and his thoughts on the future of the classical guitar.

Se implicó más en la estética del genial cubano con una idiomática interpretación de su Sonata nº 3 también conocida con el sobrenombre del «Decamerón negro», una sólida declaración de intenciones de la rica inspiración de Leo Brouwer. En su primera parte, Güijes y Gnomos, hizo traslucir en su tañer motivos renacentistas de clara identificación, dulcificando el sonido. Éste servía para dibujar los ritos mágicos africanos en Treno por Oyá y evocaba las historias chamánicas en las que se inspira La risa de los Griots, sin poder dejar de remarcar la exquisitez con la que tañó la Burlesca del aire, penúltima pieza de la obra. Para terminar con la música de este preciosista autor, hizo una muy sentida interpretación de la An Idea que compuso en Córdoba en para el setenta y cinco aniversario de su amigo el gran guitarrista austriaco Eli Kassner, sustentada en un sutil aire festivo de pasacalle.
