Robert Watson Winston (12 Sept. Oct. ), lawyer, judge, and author, was born in Windsor, the son of Patrick Henry and Martha Elizabeth Bird Winston. After attending the Horner School in Oxford, he entered The University of North Carolina where he was on the baseball team; he was graduated in and received an LL.B. degree in Admitted to the bar in , he opened an office in Oxford, where he was treasurer first and then city attorney. In he moved to Durham and formed a partnership with other lawyers, ultimately with Victor S. Bryant during the period Moving to Raleigh in , he was an associate of Charles B. Aycock until and thereafter with J. Crawford Biggs.
Politics attracted Winston, and for many years after he was a member of the state Democratic committee. Robert Winston is one of the British most revered professors of science and medical doctor. Born on July 15, , Robert Winston is also a politician, author and television presenter. Robert Winston did a lot of work in the medical field, including the development of gynecological surgery techniques that improve fertility treatments. Robert Winston was the first to use newly improved treatments in vitro fertilization (IVF)and also developed a pre-implantation diagnosis. Robert Winston is a professor of science and society and emeritus professor of fertility studies at the Imperial College, London. Affectionately called Lord Winston, his accomplishment in the medical field has gained him several awards and honors and is now an honorary fellow in several top institutions including Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and Academy of Medical Sciences. He has served on several councils and board including a member of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, Engineering& Physical Science Research Council and the Societal Issues Panel.

Robert Winston was born in London on the 15th of July, He's a British professor, medical doctor, scientist, television presenter, and a Labour peer. He's also been heavily involved in IVF research and pioneered new techniques in screening human embryos. He joined Hammersmith Hospital as a registrar in and, as a Wellcome research fellow, he became an associate professor at the Catholic University in Leuven in and was scientific advisor to the WHO's programme in human reproduction from to He's written hundreds of books and articles and presented several BBC television series, including 'Superhuman: The Secret Life of Twins' and the award-winning 'The Human Body.'
