'You were VILE!' Eighties singer Marilyn comes to blows with Janet Street Porter when he appears on Loose Women with Boy George

They were both moody yet super glamorous icons of the New Romantic and punk era in the Eighties.

So it's little wonder that there was a clash of personalities when singer Marilyn, 53, and Boy George, 55, appeared on Loose Women on Monday morning. 

Talking to Janet Street Porter, 69, about when they used to be interviewed by her in their younger years, Marilyn told her: 'You were my first ever television interview. You were VILE!'

If only they had talked about their feelings: When Janet said she was frightened of him, he said: 'I was frightened of you'

Janet replied: 'I was frightened of you. You were so difficult.'

Marilyn, who was promoting his new single on the show, said: 'No I was frightened. But now I know she was nervous, it all makes sense to me. You kept asking me all these questions, one after the next.'
